The best way to recycle: rip the plastic film away from the cardboard. Toss the cardboard into your household recycling bin, and take the plastic film to a soft plastics collection point at a larger supermarket (or your kerbside bin, as collections roll out across the UK).
The quick way to recycle: If you don't separate them, you can still put the whole tube in your household cardboard bin. Because the plastic is so light, the paper mill will filter it out during processing - just keep in mind that the filtered plastic will likely end up as general waste rather than being recycled.
